Mining Engineering and Management Department

Interested in leadership roles in the mining industry? The master's program at South Dakota Mines offers hands-on experience in the laboratory and field, comprehensive mine management education, and opportunities to work with various industry and government partners, including Caterpillar and the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF).

This program can be completed on campus or online. A thesis or non-thesis option is available, depending on specialization. An accelerated master's option is also available.
