Estimated Cost Of Attendance

Estimated cost of attendance includes both direct and indirect costs. Direct costs billable to the student include tuition and fees, books/supplies, laptop, housing and meals (for students living on campus).

Indirect costs are not billed to the student by South Dakota Mines. These indirect costs include transportation, personal allowances, and housing and meals for students who do not live on campus.

New or transfer students from the following states are eligible for SD Advantage tuition rate: Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Children of South Dakota Mines alumni can apply through the Admissions Office to receive SD resident tuition rate.

WUE: Western Undergraduate Exchange Program - includes Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
